check up

make appointment for yu xi to have her mmr booster jab thinking that she had missed out that jab. at the same time to check on her vagina issue and her periodic fever. darling wants yu ze to go for developmental check as well. he keeps thinking that yu ze is too small as compared to his peers. so to put his mind at ease, i manage to squeeze yu ze in for the same day appointment at the same time.

 

after registration at the counter, yu ze asked me

 

yu ze: mommy, are we going to the painful one?

me: the painful one?

yu ze: yah, i don't want the painful one. (pointing to his thigh)

me: oh, no no. not going to the painful one (he is referring to a jab)

 

they played in the playroom while we wait for our turn. yu xi has her check first and i told the pd about her problems. pd told us there is nothing to worry for her periodic fever. given our kind of climate, he will give and take. most importantly is that she is still putting on a good weight and growing and still active during her fever episode. as for her vagina, he refer us to see a surgeon for it. so next appointment will be end of the month for her to see surgeon and back for review in 6 months time.

 

when its yu ze's turn, there is also nothing to worry for him. he is still growing at his 3 percentile rate. he too had put on a good weight which is unusual as kids around his age don't put on so much weight now. darling is still concern over his growth so pd give us an appointment in a year's time to review his growth again. if he is really too small, then will work on something maybe 2 years down the road but not now.

 

yu xi is now 13.8kg and 91cm tall whereas yu ze is 14.4kg and 98.5cm tall. both had put on about 1.4kg in 9 months. that's it for the check up.
