surprise!!!

since the beginning of this year, i have been going home myself on fri. darling can't come and fetch me on fri as he had to work till 6 while i knocked off at 5. yesterday at 4.40pm, he sms me to wait for him. he will be coming to fetch me. i didn't think much of it.  

 

he handled me a bouquet of flowers when we met. i was surprised to see it. this is the first bouquet of flowers from him not counting those for rom and wedding. i'm so happy. its actually my birthday present, though my birthday is tomorrow. for the first time, i can't figure out what he wanted to give me as birthday present. its a nice surprise and definitely a nice present. i guess all ladies have something with flowers. no ladies would say no to flowers though we know its not a practical gift at all. hahhah...... 

 

i asked him why he gave it to me yesterday instead of tomorrow. his answer, so that i can have a surprise and also he can't buy it tomorrow since he will be with me whole day. whatever, it is. i love it.... thanks, darling.

reaching 30...

ica send me a letter to remind me that i'm reaching 30 soon.... i received their letter telling me to re-new my ic. so sad to see the letter ... i try to look for a nice photo in my collection for my new ic which i will use from now onwards but can't find any. will have to go take photo for the renewal. but now, my hair is in a mess and i can't do anything to my hair now. argh.....

funny papa

now that baby can hear what is going on around him, i started to get darling to read him a bedtime stories. he will first read him an english story followed by chinese story. 

baby is super active yesterday night, keep moving non stop. i rested darling's hand on my tummy for him to feel the movement. he was shocked by the active movement. i told darling, baby is complaining cos his daddy didn't read him his bedtime stories. so darling quickly put down the newspaper and started reading. soon after darling started reading, baby stops moving. he seems to have quiet down to listen to the stories. its quite amazing. 

darling is very cute too, after reading the story to baby. he ask baby what name he wants. where he wants to sleep? on the mattress on the floor or cot? for the whole night, baby is so active that i can't sleep well. i have to tell him to go to sleep cos mummy want to rest liao, got to work the next day.

7th gynae visit

yesterday, went to see baby again. for the 2nd time, i failed the sugar test. so gynae told me to take a blood test in 5 weeks times to confirm if i got gestation diabetics. will need to fast from 11.30pm the night before. on the day itself, will need to draw blood 3 times at 30 mins interval. ouch!!! its going to be very pain. right now, i still don't need to watch my diet. but i think i better control my sugar intake on my own.

 

baby is facing down again during the scan so can't see his face and didn't take any scan photo too. gynae thought we are expecting a girl, so he got a shock when he saw that baby is a boy. so i joke with him, i buy all the clothes liao leh, don't tell me scan wrongly. he says baby is a boy, confirm. 

 

baby is 569g at 23 weeks and my weight is 52.6kg now, a total gain of 7.4kg.

cute little socks

i have got these cute little shoe looking socks for my baby. he will not be wearing shoe till he is 1 year old, so these socks will just act as his little shoes. aren't they cute? the shoelaces are real not printed on the socks. but my darling says i like to buy things that doesn't look like its original form. and baby will say that i cheated him in future. cos he is wearing a pair of socks and not shoes. heheh..... will he be confuse between shoes and socks?

what a relief!

ever since i start to feel baby's movement, i didn't really keep track on how often he moves. just being more aware of his movement. i was down with suspected food poisoning last thurs. had been throwing out on thurs and fri, nothing stay in my stomach for long. even if it did stay for some time, by night time everything will be out. so i was on mc resting at home. even though, i'm not feeling well then i still feel baby's movement. to me, its a good sign. baby is coping well with my sickness too or my sickness is not affecting him. 

but today, i didn't feel any movement the whole morning which got me worried. i'm wondering, baby can't be having such a slow reaction with the food poisoning that i had last week. is he ok? how come he is not moving today. i try talking to him to get him to give me some signal that he is ok but still nothing.

just as i almost wanted to call darling to tell him about it, i suddenly feel him moving. i can't be sure so waited a while more to confirm his movement. hoping that i'm not imaginating. phew!!! i finally felt his movement again. i'm so relief to be able to feel him. he must be so lazy or sleepy that he simply refuse to move the whole morning.
