last day

today is the last day for them to take school bus to school. i bought a box of chocolate each for the bus uncle and aunties.  we had been using their service for 2.5 years. they have been very nice to the kids.

 

i think I'm having withdrawal symptom from this. i'm feeling sad. prepared the kids for today since last week, they don't seems to have any reaction to it. maybe having mommy to send them to school is a better choice for them. they can't wait for this day to come.

 

next week onwards, mommy has a new job role, personal taxi driver.

the day we have been waiting for is here. yu ze has been wanting to these trucks in action. however, our schedule just don't meet till today. thanks for uncle woo arranging it specially for us.

 

he had so much fun chasing after the truck up and down, round and round in circle. kids are easily satisfied by simple thing like that. though he didn't get to control the truck, just being there to see it in action is good enough for him.

ps: if there are trains, i'm sure he will be super happy and excited. he has this deep love for trains.

accident

i had my very first accident at my carpark today. i was going back to fetch them from school bus. turn into my car park and bang into a on-coming car while i turn left. i didn't see it coming and not able to stop in time. recalling it now, i can't tell its exactly my fault or not.

 

i guess being a 'triangle plate' holder, i will simply assume its my fault and agree its mine too. i called darling to tell him about it and good thing was that he is already home. so he came down and settle with that handsome young man while i fetch the kids at the bus stop.

 

they have agreed to settle it privately. we paid $500 for his damage and $150 for our own damage.

we were out again for more playground adventure and fun. today, we were at toa payoh looking for dino and dragon. we found the dino at toa payoh lor 7 and dragon opp at lor 6.

the dino playground can be a bit boring. 2 big dino statue with some eggs lying around is way too big for the kids to 'play'. there is a little 'modern' green dino play structure (behind the dino in the above picture) but a bit too small. we were there for less than 15 minutes and left searching for the dragon.

comparing to the dino, this dragon playground is definitely more interesting for the kids. yu ze climbed up the dragon body by walking slowly step by step on the metal bars. she needs our help to guide her on how to go up in the beginning. after a few round, she is doing it on her own. up and down the dragon, they went. they brought along the spade and pail to play with the sand too. 



 

 

we found another small dragon at toa payoh north area. there were no metal bars for this little dragon. its only steps leading you to the head of the dragon and slide down the body. even though its a small dragon, they had fun too.

all kids love playground, be it indoor or outdoor, big or small, new or old. they are never sick and tired of playground. at least, its the case for mine.

 

who says having fun must spend a lot of money. visiting different playground (government build, not indoor) is free and yet produce the same amount or more fun.

we went to the first special playground, something different from the norm, 'thomas, the train playground'. well, its not exactly thomas the train playground, its a train structure playground. this playground is located at tiong bahru park.

there are a train structure, merry-go-round (traditional merry-go-round that i used to play when i was young), a mini maze and swing (my favourite) too.

they were a bit scared in the beginning, not sure how to start and where to start? we had to follow them and show them how to go about the structure. after a round or 2 with them, yu ze venture out himself. yu xi was not really interested. not that she don't like the playground, she don't like the sand. so she was stuck with darling.

no more driving lessons.... i passed!!!!!!

 

i had purposely bought a new pair of covered shoes for today's test. as one of the rules was no slippers on test date which i didn't follow the last round. the tester does look a bit fierce this round but definitely better then the last. 

 

i score 14 points this time. i'm so happy to know that i make it. i text darling and people who wants to know the good news once i got it. i also bought a card, chocolate and sweet for my instructor to thank him. i didn't get to pass to him personally, left it in the office for him to pick up.
